I recall several years ago getting a wristband for Extra Magic Hours. How do the Parks regulate the extra hours for resort guests with the advent of Magic Bands?

    Hey Roy-

I am so glad you reached out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I wondered this myself last year when I first used my MagicBand. Only Walt Disney World Resort Guests are allowed to access Morning and Evening Extra Magic Hours. This information is encrypted on secure servers which are linked to your RFID (radio frequency identification) card with your ticket or MagicBand. When you arrive for Morning you will need to use your MagicBand or the RFID card with your ticket at the Touch Point Entry (former turnstiles). For Evening Extra Magic Hours a Cast Member will scan your MagicBand or RFID card with your ticket after the theme park closes to day guests to verify your stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel before you enter each attraction.

I hope this helped. Please let me know how I may assist you in making your October 2015 Walt Disney World Resort vacation more special.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
