I recall when we last visited in 2016 we had the Dining Plan and for the QS options you chose (entree, side dessert/drink). This trip in September 2018 is this still the case? We will always carry the refillable mugs to the park

    Hi Lynn!

I'm happy to hear you are planning a return trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Even though it's only been two years since your last trip, there are so many new things for you to enjoy! The Disney dining plans are a great option for Guests who are interested in paying for the majority of their dining expenses in advance of their vacation. There have been a few changes to the Disney Dining Plan since your last trip that you will be able to take advantage of. First of all, for quick service meals, you will now receive one entree and one beverage, which can now be an alcoholic beverage for Guests over 21 years old. Desserts are no longer included in quick service meals when redeeming a quick service meal entitlement.

The other major change to the Disney Dining Plan is the number of dining entitlements that you will receive for your trip. You will receive one table service entitlement, one quick service and two snack entitlements per night of your reservation, per person on your reservation. During your previous trip, you only received one set of snack entitlements per person per night. So effectively, you can now select when and where you would like to enjoy dessert during the day with your second snack entitlements rather than being forced to receive dessert with your quick service meal. I love this change because it gives you so much more flexibility in how you use your entitlements and what snacks and desserts you would like to enjoy during your day!

Keep in mind that your refillable drink mug works well for keeping water cool throughout the day, but you will not be able to refill it at restaurants in the theme parks. You can, however, always get cups of complimentary ice water from restaurants by simply asking.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
