how do I reassign a ticket to another person?

    Hi Sherry!

We're so happy you found our happy place here at planDisney. We truly love helping fellow Guests plan their way to the magic, so let's take a look at your question together.

When purchasing a standard theme park ticket, you are asked to assign a name to each in the checkout process. The good news is that the ticket is not actually officially assigned until a Guest uses it to scan through those Main Entrance Gates for the first time. At this point, a photo is taken, which will pop up when the ticket is scanned to ensure that only one person can use that particular ticket. Technically, you don't need to officially reassign the ticket to another Guest before it is used. I understand that some Guests like to have all their Disney ducks in a row, and if you'd like to change the name on the ticket, I recommend calling the Guest Services team who may be able to help you further.

Some fun news is that Disneyland just introduced upgraded Main Entrance turnstiles that are even more magical than before. With a quick scan of your ticket, you will be asked to take your own photo (the camera will adjust to your height itself!), the gates will open, and away you go to your magical day!

If you need to share the ticket with a friend or family member for them to use on their own without you being present, that's easy to do with just a few taps in the Disneyland app. You and your friend will head to the hamburger menu in the bottom right-hand corner on your own devices and select "My Tickets and Passes". You will stay here and scroll to the ticket you would like to send them. The friends will tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner to "Link Tickets and Passes". From here, they can either scan the barcode directly from your phone or manually enter the ticket ID number listed underneath the barcode. That ticket should now appear in their account, and they will be able to enter and leave the park on their own as well as make their own Lightning Lane selections if they have added Multi Pass to their ticket.

Sherry, I sure hope this was helpful! If you have any more questions, we are always happy to help here at planDisney

    Magic awaits!
