Shiela from AZ Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

How do I reassign a ticket on the app before the first use? I accidentally put the same name on 2 tickets. Thanks!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Shiela!

You’re as welcome as can be to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m happy to help out with your Disneyland Resort vacation planning.

The names you enter for your theme park tickets when purchasing online or in the Disneyland app are useful for matching up Disney eTickets with each guest using them. That’s especially convenient if your party happens to split up and you wish to use the Disneyland app for separate park admission or Disney FASTPASS selections using Disney MaxPass

But if the names on the Disney eTickets don’t happen to match up with the actual guests using the tickets, don’t worry. You’ll still be able to get them all lined up. When you have your eTickets scanned at the park entrance, the Cast Member will also print out physical tickets for you to use. As each guest is admitted, write down the name of the guest for each ticket on the ticket itself. The ticket number in the Disneyland app will also automatically be updated to match the number on the printed ticket. With the name on the printed ticket and the printed ticket number and the ticket number displayed in the app, you will be able to tell which ticket belongs to which guest.

Tony’s Tip: Each member of your party with a mobile device may download the Disneyland app and link all or a part of your party’s tickets in the app using their own account. You can use this to method help distinguish tickets as well. But I like this feature so that we can take turns making Disney FASTPASS selections in our family.

Another fun part of your digital experience at the Disneyland Resort is the Play Disney Parks app. This free app has games, trivia, access to music, and more! One of my favorite parts of the Play Disney Parks app is the Star Wars: Datapad. The Datapad allows us to hack and scan our way around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge as we live our own Star Wars story.

    Have a magical time, Shiela!
