    Can I reassign an existing Magic Band to someone else? I want to purchase a new, character one for my son and give the other one to our babysitter travelling with us.

    Hi Michelle,

    I'm excited to know that you're planning another Disney trip.  I hope you don't have to wait very long to embark on your adventure!

    Unfortunately, you won't be able to give your babysitter a previously used MagicBand.  Once a MagicBand is linked to someone on your Disney account it can't be transferred to someone else.  Also, each one is linked to the original owner's fingerprint so your babysitter wouldn't be able to enter a park with a MagicBand that has been already been put to use by someone else. 

    Please keep in mind that if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, Guests receive complimentary MagicBands that can be customized.  You pick the color and name you wanted printed on the back.  You can do this through your My Disney Experience account once your room is reserved.
