Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Stephen!
You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney. How exciting that you are planning a Disney vacation in February. It is a wonderful time to visit, as it gives you something to look forward to after the holidays. As a fellow New Englander, I always appreciate the warmer climate this time of year as well.
Stephen, I would recommend looking at the
Value Resorts (specifically the Disney All Star Resorts), as typically these rooms are quite reasonably priced. Pricing does vary throughout the year, but typically, these Resorts are great options for a budget-friendly stay. There are also some family suites in the Value Resorts that can accommodate parties of 6. I stayed at Disney's All Star Music Resort last year, and it was a fantastic experience. Not only did it have great amenities and immersive theming, but it came with all of the benefits of staying at a Disney Resort at a price that put extra pixie dust back in my wallet.
Alternatively, there are a few Moderate Resorts that are also well-priced, immersed in Disney magic, and great for shorter stays. Two of my favorites are
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and
Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside, and both are excellent Resorts. In fact, I stayed at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside in October, and I loved it. From the New Orleans theming to the delicious dining and fun evening entertainment, not to mention the comfortable room, it was a wonderful place to stay.
Now, here's a tip for you, Stephen. If you check Resort availability and don't see what you are looking for right away, keep checking (even multiple times per day.) Guests' plans change regularly, and it is very common for Resort availability to be different from day to day and even within the same day. That's how I have secured stays at Walt Disney World on many occasions.
As a Guest of a Disney Resort Hotel, you do receive
benefits for staying in the magic, including complimentary on-site transportation throughout Walt Disney World property. You will also be able to make Advance Dining Reservations and Enchanting Extra Reservations beginning 60 days from your check-in date for the entirety of your stay (up to 10 days), and you can make Lightning Lane purchases and reservations beginning 7 days in advance of your check-in date for the entirety of your stay (up to 10 days). Finally, Guests of Disney Resort Hotels also have early entry to the theme parks, 30 minutes prior to the parks opening for general admission.
I hope this helps you, Stephen! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions or if you need any tips for maximizing your budget during your stay, soar back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you.
Reach for the sky!
