Hey Danielle!
Welcome to planDisney, it's so nice to meet you! I know that planning a visit from out of state can take a little extra pixie dust, so let's talk all about nighttime spectaculars.
The
entertainment schedule is generally released about six weeks in advance, so we don't know the exact plans for your visit quite yet. But you've spotted one of my favorite planning tips: if you don't see a dining package or dessert party, there's a good chance that the nighttime spectacular that is part of that package isn't on the schedule for that day. It's also possible that the dining reservations are already full, or that the reservations haven't opened yet, but dates with lines through them usually mean that an offering won't be available that day.
I'm sorry to bring sad news! While the summer means late hours and entertainment most nights, it's not unusual for the schedule to change as we move into the fall. I do suggest to keep checking for the
World of Color Dessert Party at least until the entertainment schedule is released for your visit. I'm hopeful it might still be coming, especially if you'll be visiting over the weekend! Sometimes dining reservations are just released later than the 60-day window. Think happy thoughts and keep checking!
There is plenty of spooky fun still to be announced because before we know it we'll be celebrating
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and I bet there will be messages from regions beyond about all the special tricks and (more importantly) treats real soon! Oh, and do make sure that you "look alive" so you don't miss the virtual queue for
Haunted Mansion Holiday. I would hate for you to miss the party!
I hope that the entertainment schedule brings you good news in a couple of weeks, Danielle!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
