Hi Karen,
How sweet is your son? It sounds like you are doing a great job raising a truly thoughtful little boy! We have been to the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party twice and I can tell you that although it is mostly little princesses and their parents, there were several young princes in attendance. The experience is geared toward young princesses, however, the boys seemed to enjoy the tea party too. The food is delicious, and there is cake, what more could a little boy ask for at a tea party! During the tea party, your son will enjoy storytelling, music and a visit from Princess Aurora. The gifts that your son will receive are different than those offered for the girls as well.
I would suggest chatting to your son and explaining in more detail what the experience entails. If My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party is something that your son really wants to do, I would say go for it. It is definitely geared toward girls, but the experience is magical. Boys are certainly welcome to attend, and it will be something that the two of you could do together. When we were there, I found that the Cast Members and Princess Aurora really went out of their way to make sure the boys were enjoying themselves.
If your son is having second thoughts, some other options for similar experiences are enjoying breakfast at the
Grand Floridian Cafe or having
Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room, both at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
I hope you and your son have a magical time together at Walt Disney World Resort, whatever you choose to do!
Stephanie
