Really torn between Epcot ADRs! Breakfast is ARBH - not sure about lunch & dinner. Was thinking CR & Bier? So many great choices - I can't decide. 4 adults and 4 kids, 6y-21 months. It will also be hubbys bday so I am looking to make it extra sp

    Hi Jessica,

That is a tough one.  Both restaurants are so different!  It really depends on what you think would make your husband's birthday extra special - a nice, kind of elegant meal or an atmosphere where the kids can run off some steam and be fed instantly.

Biergarten is one of our family's favorite restaurants.  The atmosphere is one of continual Oktoberfest.  There is a stage show where guests are invited to join in the dancing, and my kids really get a kick out of that.  Seating is at long tables, so you're often seated with other guests (although as a party of 8, you'll probably be seated by yourselves).  We've met some fascinating people and had great conversation.  The food?  It's wonderful, and there is quite a variety -- even your pickiest eater will find something on the buffet.  No one will leave hungry, that's for sure!

Coral Reef, on the other hand, is more subdued.  I think it's one of those perfect "fancy" restaurants for kids.  The atmosphere suggests that this is a special restaurant where good table manners are required, but it's certainly not stuffy and definitely kid friendly!  The giant aquarium will keep your kiddos entertained as they search for different species of fish.  The food?  My only complaint is that it's not always consistent.  I've had some incredible meals here, and I've had some average meals.

Either restaurant is sure to be a special occasion.  Make sure you tell your server that you are celebrating your husband's birthday.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
