I really want to stay at the AOA resort in the mermaid standard rooms. One of the most review I have seen on several websites and blogs is the distance from the little mermaid building to the lobby and the bus. Can you give me a distance of how far it is

Greetings, Linda and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

How excited you must be about your stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, where you will enjoy many benefits and magical experiences as a Disney Resort hotel Guest! The theming places you in the middle of beloved animation favorites and you’re going to marvel at the details in The Little Mermaid section.

The walk to and from The Little Mermaid section and Animation Hall (containing the food court called Landscape of Flavors, gift shop, Front Desk and Bus Stops) takes approximately 5-7 minutes, if walking at a brisk pace, or roughly 10 minutes if walking at a slower pace. It’s about 1,400 steps to the Little Mermaid section from Animation Hall.

During your Disney Resort hotel Online Check-In beginning 60 days before your stay, I would recommend requesting either Buildings 7 or 9, specifically Guest Rooms nearest The Lion King section. As well, you may wish to have this request noted on your reservation by calling (407) 939-5277, where every effort will be made to accommodate your wishes.

Mom’s Tip: Linda, you may be able to build an inclusive, pre-paid vacation by adding one of many Disney Dining Plan packages by calling (407) 939-5277.

Magical Disney wishes for a most enjoyable vacation!
