I really want to stay at the AK resort with the safari view but that's out of our budget . For now I'm considering Orleans riverside or Colorado Springs. Which one do you think is good for a soon to be 3y & when will the Florida resident discount for A

    Hi Elizabeth,

I think you and your family will have a great time at either the Coronado Springs or the Port Orleans Riverside resort. They are both lovely properties with great amenities, but with an almost 3-year-old, I'd lean toward Port Orleans.

The resort  and its adjacent sister resort Port Orleans French Quarter have playgrounds, several pools with fun themes, a fishing hole, bike rentals and water taxi service to Downtown Disney. I think it is a bit more friendly for young children than the other resort. Many of the rooms at Port Orleans Riverside also have fold-down beds that are perfect for a child.

The Florida resident discount offers are usually announced a few months in advance. The current offer extends into June, so I would expect offers for August to be announced soon.

By the way, can I also suggest you make a visit to Animal Kingdom Lodge to see the animals, even if you are not able to stay there. My favorite viewing spot is outside the Sanaa restaurant in the Kidani Village section. There are rocking chairs, a fire pit, informational displays and, often, a cast member who can point out the animals and talk about them.

I hope that is helpful. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy your visit!
