This is a really silly question. At the NSSHP, my kids know exactly what they are dressing up as, my wife and I are at a loss. Any ideas for a family of six. Children are 11,9,23 months and 10 months. We are hoping for a theme.

    Darren:

We are a family of six, and I can't tell you how excited I am that you'd be willing to dress up with your kids!!  What fun memories you will create for your family!

I dressed up last year and so did the kids....my husband, though, decided to "be himself"....it's a shame, though, because many families are dressed up!  You certainly won't feel out of place!

I don't know that I am the most creative when it comes to costumes, as I am the mom who has good intentions but in the end, winds up at Target, desperately seeking something "ready-made" at the last minute.  But some of the most memorable family ideas I saw last year were:

    • a brood of pirates (you might even consider making reservations at The Pirates League at Magic Kingdom to finish off with full makeup!).
    • a family of Incredibles
    • an entire reunion of Thing 1, Thing 2 on up to about Thing 22!!
    • a handful of M&Ms (each family member had on white shorts and a different colored t-shirt and white gloves)
    • several in Star Wars attire (that you could save and wear at Stars Wars weekends next June!)
I'm sure a little surfing on the internet would also turn up some ideas, too!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
