Hi Bridgette,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you brought this question to us!
My family loves the Disney
Dining Plans. They are great deals for my family. Whether or not the dining plan is a good deal for your family depends on how much you plan to eat, the restaurants you visit and the price of the dining plan during the dates of your visit. Food at the Walt Disney World Resort can be unpredictably expensive. Purchasing the dining plan gives me a good idea of how much we are actually going to spend on food while on vacation.
To check for yourself, I suggest that you plan meals for your trip. Pick the restaurants you might want to enjoy. When you review the
Dining List, you can view prices for most restaurants by clicking on the link for that restaurant, then clicking on "View Menu." Be sure to select breakfast, lunch or dinner. If a price is not listed, call Dining at 407-939-1947.
Once you have an estimate of how much you could spend out of pocket, you will need to compare that price to the price of the dining plan. When you price out your vacation online, be sure to note the price of the dining plan for the dates of your visit. To estimate, you will need to note the price of the resort room and theme park tickets before you add the dining plan, then add the dining plan. Remember to consider the dining plan's two snacks per night and resort refillable mug when you do your estimate!
Any day is a good day to dine at Cinderella's Royal Table. Reservations are difficult to make, so we have just been happy to get a reservation! Be sure to allow extra time to get to your reservation if you are dining near the time of the fireworks.
Happy Planning!
