Welcome, Diego and family to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Avatar: Flight of Passage is an unbelievable 5-sense-encompassing flight on the back of a Banshee. I was present at the Grand Opening last summer to see the crowds flock to the new experience.
The rider seat for Flight of Passage is certainly snug. Not only will you have a chest pad that covers your lower rib cage, but also your stomach as well as a padded back restraint that folds in behind you. There certainly would be no room for a baby belly on the ride, but I can’t recommend that you try the ride while expecting. The accessibility guide mentions expectant mothers should not take part. There is a simulator factor with jostling, rough movement, etc. If I were you, I’d wait until after baby was born and then take part in the
Rider Switch Program! In the meantime, while you are visiting
Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Pandora, please feel free to take a trip on
Na’vi River Journey, which is right next door. You can float down an inspiring river to the music and voices of the Na’vi. Your entire family can join you as there are no rider restrictions.
If you need a rest break or a cool place while in Pandora, I highly recommend
Satu’li Canteen. The design-your-own bowls are so tasty and the Na’vi eye cheesecake is a must-try while sitting in the air conditioning. If you need more help planning your upcoming trip to Pandora, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
