Welcome back to planDisney, John! Thanks so much for stopping by with another question. I'm happy to help!
What a blast from the past! Big Thunder Ranch was a rootin’ tootin’ good time with so much good food! I know it's hard to replace and I understand why you would miss it. I have my favorite foods at the Disneyland Resort too! Unfortunately, there isn't currently a dining location that offers these exact menu items, however, I have a few suggestions for you to try. At
Disneyland Park,
Hungry Bear Restaurant has a spicy BBQ bacon cheeseburger that is a seasonal offering and a BBQ chicken salad that is part of their regular entrée offerings. While neither of these is your traditional BBQ chicken, it could satisfy your BBQ craving with a different twist. Also at Disneyland,
River Belle Terrace offers some Southern comfort food on their menu. There, you can find a buttermilk fried chicken served with a BBQ aïoli and some of the same sides that were served at Big Thunder Ranch. If you plan to visit
Disney California Adventure Park,
Poultry Palace at
Pixar Pier offers both chicken and corn on the cob! Here, you can get a chicken drumstick box that includes seasoned chicken and you can also order two different types of corn on the cob, buttered and chili-lime!
John, I hope you will have fun trying some new food items and maybe you will even find some new favorites! A tip I have for you is to be sure to make
theme park reservations in advance when you are planning to visit! The magic awaits you and I hope you get to visit the Disneyland Resort soon.
Please stop by
