We would really love to see the July 4th fireworks but trying to avoid the crowds at the castle. Any tips where it may be less crowded & still give a good view of the fireworks? How is the view at the Plaza restaurant - am thinking of dinner there the

    Hi, Esther!

I have to tell you, The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park is one of my very favorite places to dine. I am in love with the atmosphere there and the menu is simple and delicious. It's a very small and intimate location and reservations are accepted up to 180 days in advance. The restaurant fills up rather quickly, so if you don't have reservations already, you might have to keep checking in repeatedly in case there are any cancellations. While you can see some of the fireworks through the windows of the restaurant, it's a very limited view even if you're sitting right next to the windows.

The 4th of July has been an extremely busy day at Magic Kingdom Park because of the amazing fireworks display. You can actually see the fireworks from all over the Park. My family like to see them from different locations around the Park and some of our favorites include:

    * standing or sitting on the benches by the new Tangled restroom area in Fantasyland

    * standing or sitting on the benches in Tomorrowland by the futuristic metal palm trees

    * standing on Main Street U.S.A. either in front of Casey's Corner or the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor [this is a more crowded spot, but it's a great view!]

I sure hope this helps with your decision, Esther! We've found our favorite places by accident really. We've lost track of time when all of a sudden, the fireworks started and we stopped in our tracks to watch. I hope your family finds a favorite spot too!

Thanks for stopping by with your question and please let us know if we can help with any others.

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
