We're really looking forward to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Please can you explain the rules about costumes, especially masks for children? Can my under-14s wear face masks with eye holes? Thanks.

    Hello, Gail Helen!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question about costume guidelines for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park. You are going to have a magical time at the happiest haunting on Earth!

I have some great news: The Disney Parks Blog recently put together a fun and informative video that clarifies the costume guidelines for events at Disney Parks. I think you will find this short video extremely clear and helpful. I recommend watching it before your vacation so you can feel confident about your costume choices. In addition, here is a written list of the costume guidelines. To answer your specific question, Guests 13 years of age and younger can wear some masks, provided the child's entire face is not covered and the child's eyes are visible.

I hope this helps answer your question, Gail Helen. Please stop back and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Wishing you many magical memories at Walt Disney World Resort!
