    Do you really have to get there a hr early before they open? I have been to Disney in 75,78 and 88 my husband and boys have not been there. Can you really see most of what you want in 4 days? Is there a best time to go for low lines for rides?

    Walt Disney World has changed a lot since the last time you were here.  For example, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom didn't exist in 1988. 

    I'll start with your last question first.  The best time to come to Walt Disney World in terms of crowds is when older children are in school!  The parks are the busiest during the summer months and around national holidays, especially Christmas, New Year, and the 4th of July!

    It's impossible to see everything Walt Disney World has to offer in a week, but I think you can see a lot in four days, especially if you have four full days.  I recommend spending one day in each theme park.  If you want to experience as many attractions as you can while minimizing the amount of time you wait in line, then you will need a good "touring plan".  The best touring plans I have seen that minimize waiting have been produced by the team that writes the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" tour book.  I highly recommend their book and their website:  www.touringplans.com.  There is a lot of math and years of data behind their recommendations.  I used their touring plans over the busy July 4th weekend last year and the whole family had a great time.  If you come during a less busy time of the year, then a touring plan isn't really necessary.

    Finally, for your last question.  I think getting to a park 30 minutes before its posted opening time is good enough.  That has always worked well for me and my family.  I don't really recommend getting there any sooner.
