Hello. I am really hoping someone can help. I purchased tickets 4/24/23 and was told they were good for 1 year from purchase. We had a few major family tragedies over the past year. Trying to use them now but it says they are expired.

Hi Alea! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

Expiration dates are very generous on Disneyland Resort standard admission tickets, and if your standard admission tickets are wholly unused, they retain their value even after their expiration. I wouldn't expect a standard admission ticket sold in April of 2023 to have expired. However, SoCal Ticket Offers like the one currently available for purchase have much shorter windows of use, which might have been what you selected if you're eligible for one of those deals.

You can confirm your tickets' expiration through the Tickets phone line. If it is expired and is still valid, a helpful Cast Member on the Tickets phone line can apply the value of your ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket. Have your ticket ID number and method of payment handy when you make the call to facilitate the transaction. Prices and terms are subject to change and the availability of theme park reservations is not guaranteed. If they're not expired and still valid, you only need to make a new reservation for an available park and date. Fingers crossed that's all you need!

If you used some of the days on a multiday ticket and didn't use the remaining days before 13 days of first use, they are expired and invalid. In that case, there is no remaining credit or refund on those tickets. Nor can their former value be applied toward the purchase of a new ticket. I'm sorry if that's the situation you're in! I hope it's not. But it does sound like you ran into some real-life situations that made visiting difficult, which I can certainly understand.

I hope you're able to schedule a theme park reservation and visit as soon as possible! The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is right around the corner. The Foodie Guide was just released, so you can check out what you'd like to sample during the festival. Planning what I want to snack and sip on is one of my favorite pre-visit activities! I'm going to start picking out my must-eat and must-drink items today for my upcoming visit.

    Have a magical day.
