Hello again, Eugene!
It sounds like you know your way around some of the most popular
restaurant choices for the dishes you mentioned! I'm happy to provide a few more options for you to check out. Keep in mind that menu offerings are always subject to change, so it's a good idea to check each restaurant's menu prior to dining to be sure they are still offering what you are hoping for!
For French Onion Soup, you'll find the "Caramelized Onion Soup Gratinee" offered all day at Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney's Yacht Club Resort (dinner only) and T-REX in Disney Springs (lunch and dinner) both offer French Onion Soup as an appetizer. Finally, The Turf Club Bar & Grill in Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has a "Classical French Onion Soup" on the menu during dinner.
Now on to Shrimp and Grits! Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offers classic Shrimp and Grits as an appetizer for brunch, but also has "Barbecue-grilled Shrimp and Grits" as an appetizer at dinner. You'll find a lot of options in Disney Springs with Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' and House of Blues Restaurant & Bar both offering Shrimp and Grits for lunch and dinner, Paddlefish for dinner only and STK Orlando for brunch on Saturday and Sunday. If you are feeling fancy and want to kick things up a notch, STK Orlando also offers "Smoked Maine Lobster & Grits" as an entree at dinner.
One last recommendation: if you are visiting during any of the
Epcot festivals throughout the year, check menus at the food kiosks around World Showcase. In years past, the Florida Fresh kiosk menu has included "Shrimp and Stone-ground Grits" and it is a crowd favorite!
Happy eating!
Tabitha
