While I was really excited about staying at Art of Animation, unfortunately I had to make some switches in our resort & we are now staying at Pop Century and were able to take advantage of the current special offer. What can you tell me about this res

    Hi Angelica,

Pop Century has been my family's favorite value resort since it opened a decade ago. We have stayed there at least 20 times and always enjoy the atmosphere and the amenities.

In the center of the resort, you will find the '60s-themed Hippy Dippy pool and Classic Hall, home to the Everything Pop gift shop and food court and the Fast Forward Arcade. There are also two "quiet pools" on each end of the resort.

At night, you can enjoy an adult beverage at Petals Pool Bar, and you can check out the Movies Under the Stars near the Hippy Dippy Pool.

The sections of the resort are decorated based on different decades, '50s through '90s. My favorite section is the '50s. I like the theme and most rooms are close to Classic Hall and the bus stop but a bit away from the hubbub.

Pop Century does not share buses with other resorts, which also is a plus. It's about a 20-minute ride to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, a bit less to the other parks and Downtown Disney.

Here's some good news for you: Pop Century is adjacent to Art of Animation, and you can easily walk between the resorts. So even though you opted for the savings of Pop Century (I would have done the same thing), you can still grab a meal at AoA's Landscape of Flavors food court and walk through the amazingly themed grounds to get a taste of the Art of Animation experience.

I hope that is useful. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you plan your visit. It will be here before you know it. Enjoy!
