I am REALLY confused with this dining plan stuff. We chose deluxe dining plan and are staying 4 days/5nights. That mean that we each have 12 meal passes or 15? Plus, we have a 3 day pass if on the last day we want to eat at another resort can we?

    Hi Heather!

Hopefully I can clear some things up for you concerning the Deluxe Dining Plan.  Basically, if you are on the Deluxe Dining Plan at Walt Disney World, you will receive 3 Table Service credits per person per night of your stay.  So in your case each person will receive 15 Table Service Credits each because you are staying for 5 nights.  If you have two people in your traveling, for example, you will have 30 Table Service Credits to use between the two of you during your vacation.  It will be up to you how you use them.  If you wanted to skip breakfast one day and go to a 1 Credit Table Service Restaurant for lunch and a 2 Credit Signature Table Service Restaurant for dinner, then you will have used up 3 Table Service Credits each for that day (6 Credits total). This is why you will have to plan on how you would like to use your Dinning Credits so that you do not run out and have to pay cash or have lots of Dining Credits left unused at the end of your trip.

You definitely could choose to eat at a Resort on your last day, in fact I would recommend this because dining at a Resort does not require a Park Ticket.  If you wanted to dine at a restaurant that is inside one of the Parks on your last day, then you would need a Park Ticket to get in the Park to eat.

I hope that all of your meals are truly magical on your next trip to Walt Disney World!
