Welcome foolish mortal to...planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by en route to your haunted holiday, Laura. Let's see what we can
boo for you today.
I'm sorry to hear you won't be spending Halloween on the high seas, and I hope you can have some spooktacular experiences during your Walt Disney World visit. All dates for the
Disney After Hours Boo Bash are sold out, but if you happen to be in the
Magic Kingdom Park the day of an event, stop by Guest Relations or a ticket booth to inquire about same-day ticket availability. Occasionally, there are some tickets for sale due to cancelations.
I think what you heard about is a
paperless ticket transfer that can be done between friends or family members who are connected on
My Disney Experience. If you know someone who has tickets that will go unused for an event, as long as you are linked in My Disney Experience, a ticket can be reassigned from one person to another. The owner of the tickets will simply choose the "Reassign Ticket" option in the "Tickets & Passes" menu in My Disney Experience and match the entitlement to a different Guest.
If you are unable to secure tickets to the Disney After Hours Boo Bash but are looking to have a frightfully fun evening, consider
renting a golf cart and taking a drive through
the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Many Guests decorate their campsites and love to show off their creepy creations. This is a popular activity, so if you're interested, I suggest calling (407) 824-2742 to reserve your cart in advance. My family and I did this during a December visit one year, and we couldn't believe how many campers had gone all out to deck the halls with holiday spirit. It was one of the most memorable things we've done in Walt Disney World.
Best wishes for a grim, grinning good time on your trip next week, Laura. Even if you aren't able to attend a Halloween event, your vacation will be full of magic and excitement from the
50th-anniversary celebration. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon!
