Do I really have to make advance reservations for ALL the restaurants I am interested in eating at when I visit Epcot and Magic Kingdom? Besides CRT - which I made reservations for, can't I just walk in and get a table within 30 mins to 1 hour.

Hi, Shannon!    I am glad you were able to get a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table!    This is a very special experience.

In regards to the rest of your dining, I strongly recommend making Advance Dining Reservations.   Many of the table service restaurants will be at or near capacity, so it isn't just a matter of waiting for a later table, it is that there are NO available times!  I know that there are always exceptions and some guests luck out with walking up and get seated quickly without a reservation, but you are more likely to be shut out.    Many guests traveling in the next few months will have taken advantage of the free dining promotion, so expect the restaurants to be very busy.

If you don't want to plan out your entire vacation's meals, plan just a few.   This way you are not tied to a schedule, and if you find you are not having luck walking up,  you will have your reservations to fall back on.    You might also want to reserve later dinner times.   That way you have your entire day free until your evening reservation - something to look forward to each day!

You can now make your dining reservations on-line at www.disneyworld.com or by calling (407)WDW-DINE.     Have a great vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
