    I just realized that it takes 2 modes of transport from pkg lot to gate for MK. I'm wondering about how long it takes from pkg lot to gate for MK and for AK - don't want to be late for bkfst reservations! We will be there from Mar.23-31/12. Thank you!

    Hi Cara!  Great question!



    You will need to allow plenty of time to get to the Entrance of the parks from the parking lots.



    If you park far away, you will need to hop on a Parking Lot Tram first.  These pick you up at the end of your parking lot row, and take you to the park entrance at Animal Kingdom, so the time factor is not as long here.  We usually allow for about 30 minutes from parking to entrance at the Animal Kingdom.



    At the Magic Kingdom, the Parking Lot Tram will take you to the Ticket & Transportation Center (TTC).  From here, you have a choice of boarding a Ferry or the Monorail over to the Magic Kingdom Entrance.



    As a child, my dad had the "tradition" of always riding the Ferry over to the Entrance, and the Monorail back to the TTC when the Park closed.  The Ferry seems to be quite a bit "slower moving" than the Monorail, but the ride is peaceful and exciting at the same time, and you can't beat the views!  And at the end of the day, when were hot and tired (since we always went in July & stayed until closing), we were so thankful for the cool & quick Monorail!



    If you choose the Monorail, make sure you choose the Express Monorail if time is the factor.  It makes stops only at the Magic Kingdom Entrance and the TTC.  The Resort Monorail stops at all of the Resorts on the way before making its stop at the Magic Kingdom Entrance.



    All in all, if you are trying to get there for breakfast reservation, I would allow at least 45 minutes for your transportation from the Parking Lot to the Magic Kingdom Entrance, or one hour if you want to be really safe.
