Hi Cathy!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
This is a great question! I have just returned from a trip to Walt Disney World, staying at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, the home to
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. While I didn't actually dine at Artist Point during this trip, I did see many families queueing up for their reservation and many of them probably had spent the day at a theme park previous to their arrival. My family did enjoy dining at other Disney restaurants with a dress code (
California Grill and
Yachtsman Steakhouse, for example), and without fail we were always wearing smart shorts/capris with plain t-shirts, polo shirts, or (for me) simple patterned tops or t-shirts. I think the most important thing is that you avoid the clothes that are definitely not permitted: tank tops, flip-flops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, and ensure that everyone is looking as 'neat 'n' pretty' as possible. I'm sure you'll have no problem.
You will have a lovely evening at Artist Point, where you'll be visited by Snow White and two of the seven dwarfs - Grumpy and Dopey - for as many photos and autographs that you can gather! The whole restaurant twinkles with sparkling lights in amongst the trees - an enchanted forest indeed! If you are brave enough, the Evil Queen is also waiting for you, and is available for photos after your dinner.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
