I realize I need to enter the parks with my kids under 14, but can they go on the rides I cannot (because of mobility issues)? Two are 7 and one is 12 and all meet height requirements. I could escort them to the car and meet as the ride ends in most cases.

Hi, Elizabeth, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What an adventure you have planned for your family! Your kids are a great age to experience all the fun of a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. My son is eight, and it's so much fun to let him go on all the "big" rides now!

Elizabeth, your kids are old enough now that they can go on pretty much any attraction they like, as long as they meet the attraction's height requirement. Disney's policy is that children under seven must be accompanied by a Guest 14 or older. Since your two youngest are seven, they'd be allowed to enter without you, along with your 12-year-old. A Cast Member will likely ask your children's ages before they enter, but then they should be good to go.

And here's a tip for you: since the younger ones are old enough to ride unaccompanied, you can also make FastPass+ selections for them. You can sit down with them while you're making your plans and let them help choose which attractions they'd like to see, and make those FastPass+ choices. (Just note that you won't be allowed to enter the FastPass+ line with them unless you also have a FastPass+ selection for that attraction.)

And of course, be sure to look for attractions you can all enjoy together as a family, too.

I hope this helps you plan a magical Walt Disney World vacation for your family, Elizabeth. Please come visit us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
