Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    I realize the California Grill will be under refurbishment while we are visiting in May 2013. Is there an observation deck at the Contemporary or Bay Towers that is open to other Resort visitors? We are staying at the Grand Floridian but find it far.

    Hey Margaret!

    There is a second observation deck at Disney's Contemporary Resort, located on the fourth floor.  We have watched the fireworks show from this location several times and it has always offered a spectacular view.  If you're at Disney's Polynesian Resort, you may want to check out the main beach area.  The music for the shows is pumped into the beach and the view is wonderful.  We like to dine at Kona Cafe and then head down to the beach after to catch the Electric Water Pageant and the evening fireworks show.  Keep in mind, during busier times of the year, these areas can be restricted to guests of the resort only.
