What could be a realistic budget for dining and shopping in WDW for 2 adults for 5 days?

    Hi, Carla!

Ooh, shopping and dining at Walt Disney World. These are a few of my favorite things! (Go ahead, sing along!)

When planning a budget for your vacation, you can really swing from budget traveler to all out signature dining and then shop til you drop! But let's plan middle of the road here, and you can plan around some very ballpark figures:

    FOOD:
-Quick Service meals: about $12-$18 per meal including a non-alcoholic beverage
-Table Service meals or buffets: about $25-$55 per meal
-Snacks, ice cream treats or bottled drinks: generally around $5

    SHOPPING:
    -Tshirts: about $30 and up
    -Mugs: about $15 and up
    -Hoodies: about $40 and up
-Mouse Ears: about $20 and up

Please note these prices are very general, so you may find prices to be higher or lower. To save some money, ask for discounts if you have a Disney Chase Visa card, or if you are a DVC member or Annual Passholder.  If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can charge your purchases back to your room with your MagicBand (make sure to have a credit card on file and a PIN set). If you prefer to have your meals prepaid, you may want to consider adding the Disney Dining Plan

Have fun shopping and dining during your magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
