What is the real difference between a deluxe studio savanna view and a regular hotel room with savanna view at AKL? The delxue studio is cheaper in price and i'm just curious why this is. Thank you.

Hi Lisa, and welcome to planDisney!

I am a Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge fan and just returned from a perfect split stay at the resort! The theming of the resort can not be beaten because it makes you feel you are in a different environment even though you are at a Walt Disney World!

While I am unsure of the inner workings of the pricing structure when it comes to the resorts, I can certainly share the differences between the resort rooms. I know the Deluxe Studios include 1 Queen Bed and 1 Double-Size Sleeper Sofa as opposed to the 2 Queen Beds the standard Savanna View room has. The Deluxe Studio rooms also have a kitchenette with a small fridge and microwave. Seeing that the Deluxe Studio is priced lower than the standard savanna room (depending on the number of guests you will have with you), I would recommend the Deluxe Studio, not just because of the lower price, but because of the extra amenities that might come in handy during your stay. Whatever location you choose to enjoy your stay will be the right choice. I hope this helps.

    Have a magical visit!
