Hi Jennifer,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm waving hello across our great state of North Carolina! Thank you for stopping back by with another question. How exciting to be planning your 12th visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth?! No matter how many times I visit the Walt Disney World Resort I always find something new to experience. I hope the same for you!
Departure days can be such a challenge to plan. Like you, I enjoy having more time in the parks before I have to leave for home. I think you have the right idea for transportation from
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter to
Disney's Magic Kingdom Park on your last day. Since you have a car, you won't have to allow extra time for
Resort Transportation. I love using Resort Transportation but I always build in extra time because you never know how long you might have to wait. Extra time is always valuable, particularly on your last day.
When driving to Magic Kingdom Park, you will be directed to the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there you can take the
Monorail or the
Ferry over to the park. We try to see if there is a Monorail in the station or a Ferry at the dock before we choose which one to take. I recommend timing how long it takes you to get from your car to the entrance to the park so you know about how much time to give yourself when it's time to say goodbye. If you are anything like me, you will be planning your 13th visit before you know it.
Jennifer, thank you again for visiting us with another great question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
