    We are ready to book Disney All Star Music Resort from Dec. 3rd-Dec 8th 2017. Regarding the free dining package. Is it better to book and modify, then to not book and wait for the free dining promotion? What is the best way to book and get the free dining

    Hi Shannon! It is great you are already planning for your trip in December of 2017. Time has a way of getting away from us and then it can be too late to get everything you had wanted.

    My suggestion is to book the room now so you have something in place. Disney can change Special Offers and dates at any time. What was offered in 2016 won't necessarily be offered in 2017. They keep us all guessing until announcements are made. If you wait for the offer you might not find availability in the resort of your choice. If something does come out and you wish to modify to it you can simply call the reservation number and get them to help. Often what they do is cancel the first reservation and make the new one including the Free Dining Package. You will not lose the deposit on the first reservation since it is refundable up until much closer to your check in date. They often can just move it to the new reservation.

    December is becoming a popular month for Disney travel and there are sport groups that also come down at that time and usually stay in the All Star resorts. They will book up quickly so strongly suggest you go ahead and get a room reserved and not have that stress while you wait for special offers to be announced which can be as late as April/May.
