Ahoy, Kimberly!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for sailing by with your question! How exciting that you're getting ready to book another voyage aboard the Disney Dream, my favorite ship! For my family, choosing our stateroom is one of the most important steps in the process of booking a Disney Cruise. It's so much fun deciding which stateroom category we want and then looking at the
ship's virtual deck plan to see whereabouts on the ship we'd ideally like our room to be!
It is my understanding that the majority of the
Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms in categories 8B, 8C and 8D aboard the Disney Dream have a curtain partition in-between the bed and couch area, creating a split floor plan with the "seating area" on one side and the "sleeping area" on the other! There are some exceptions listed for category 8A (via stateroom number) on the Disney Cruise Line's website. I highly recommend calling the agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to ask this specific question. They will be able to not only give you more details regarding the layouts of these stateroom categories but also see which staterooms are available for the specific sail date you have in mind! When you call, I suggest having the virtual deck plan open on your computer so you can reference the location of each stateroom you're discussing.
Kimberly, I'm thrilled that you're getting ready to book another cruise with Captain Mickey aboard the Disney Dream! I hope you'll be sailing the high seas soon!
