I have been reading about tips to make your WDW vacation more enjoyable. One said bring 2 pairs of athletic shoes and switch the out everyday. Have you Done this? Does it help?

    Hi Jessica,

Keeping your feet comfy is absolutely a key to an enjoyable Walt Disney World vacation! You will do LOTS of walking and need to be sure you have as much support and comfort as possible.

I see a lot of people in flip-flops (my daughters included) but I've found that I need something more supportive if I'm spending a full day on my feet. My personal preference is for supportive walking sandals. I find my feet get hot in athletic shoes all day long. But that's just me.

Whatever shoes you choose, I do find that alternating does seem to help. Even my favorite pair of sandals has a tendency to rub in unusual spots of I wear them too many days in a row. It's always good to have an extra pair, too, in case you get wet, which can happen during summer afternoon thundershowers.

It's about a month until your trip. If you plan to buy new shoes, I suggest doing so now and start wearing them to give them time to adjust to your feet.

I hope that's helpful. Here's hoping that you, your family and your feet have a wonderful vacation. Please let us know if the Moms Panel can do anything else to help before your trip. Enjoy!
