Reading resort info for reservation I see this statement...."Do not forget that you will need a theme park reservation in addition to valid theme park admission and Resort ID." In addition to hotel/resort, I need park tickets. ID?

    Hi Patti,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question today.  I am happy to help you sort out the details of your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Currently Guests visiting any of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks need a valid admission (ticket) and a Theme Park Reservation.  This is for all Guests visiting with date-based tickets through January 8, 2024.  Since you will be visiting in October of this year, you will need a ticket and a Theme Park Reservation for each day you plan to visit a theme park.  Here is a link to the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar which shows the availability of each theme park during your visit.  Good news!  Currently all theme parks have availability to make reservations, but I highly recommend making reservations as soon as you know which theme parks you plan on visiting.  Don't worry, if you change your mind, you can change your theme park reservations to a different park as long as there is availability.

It sounds like you also have a reservation at a Disney Resort Collection hotel.  By staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel, you have some special benefits.  One of those benefits is early theme park entry!  In order to access the early theme park entry benefit, you will need to show that you are a Guest staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel.  This is what the "Resort ID" is referencing.  When you scan into any of the theme parks with your MagicBand/MagicBand+, your Disney MagicMobile Pass, or your Key to the World Card you will be identified as a Disney Resort Collection hotel Guest.  That's all there is to it!

Patti, you can view all of your information and make sure that all of your reservations are linked by signing into your My Disney Experience.  If you don't see all of your reservations, here is a handy dandy linking tool that you can use to get them all set up.

Finally, since you will be visiting during October, I wanted to let you know about some of the great things going on at Walt Disney World during the fall.  One of my favorite events is the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by CORKCICLE.  I hope you have a chance to check it out while you are there and enjoy some of the yummy snacks and drinks!

Have a wonderful vacation and please let us know if we can answer any more vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help you plan your next Magical vacation!
