I was reading questions to the mom's panel and someone asked about silhouettes. I remember going to Disneyland and getting them done in color when I was a kid. Are they done in color at DW? I want to to have my own kids done when we go in 2010.

    Hi Pam!

You are asking about my all time favorite Disney World souvenir!  Just to clarify, I am referring to the expertly cut out silhouettes on black construction paper, adhered to card stock.  The detail on these are amazing - my son's eyelashes are almost as pretty as in real life.  Of course, I'm not biased!  Not only are these fabulous keepsakes, but they are extremely inexpensive.  An unframed silhouette costs around $8, unframed.  Inexpensive frames are also available for sale.

In the Magic Kingdom, a cart is set up mid way down Main Street, as well as in Liberty Square.  In Epcot, simply visit the cart in France for this one of kind work of art.  These artists are so talented and are a real joy to watch!

Since you mentioned color, I'm wondering if you may be referring to the Caricatures which are also available throughout the parks.  These hilarious cartoon images are drawn everywhere, from your resort lobby to the theme parks.  Whatever you decide, you can't beat either of these highly personalized souvenirs!!!

    Much pixie dust,
