When reading about the Very Merry Christmas at Magic Kingdom it states that there is an additional park admittance cost. Is that cost the normal cost to enter the park or is it less with the purchase of the event ticket?

    Hi Kristie!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is the jolliest party around. It is a hard-ticketed event that is a separate cost  from theme park tickets. So let's say you purchase a 4-day Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket. You could use one of those park days to enter a different park in the morning and then use your Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to enter Magic Kingdom Park that night. The price you see on the MVMCP ticket page is only for the party.

Although the party starts at 7 PM, you can use your party ticket to enter Magic Kingdom Park at 4 PM. My family will usually not go to any parks in the morning and have a rest or a pool day. Then we'll go to Magic Kingdom Park at 4 and stay until midnight! You don't want to miss any of the party fun like Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Holiday Wishes, holiday treats, and special character meet and greets.
