I was reading on line about using Fast passes or standby queues. We've already selected Fast passes for our park trips, but when would you use a standby queue line? I'm not clear on this. Thanks

Hi Sharon! It can be confusing about FastPass+ and regular queue lines when visiting Walt Disney World. If this is your first time using the FastPass system it will become much clearer after the first day.

You have selected the three attractions for each day in the parks while you are there to be used as FastPass. This means there is a special line for you to go to which will state FastPass entry. You can only go during the time period stated on your FastPass for that attraction. Everyone else who does not have a FastPass for that attraction will go to the Standby entrance. The beauty of having the three attractions where you will be using the FastPasses is that these lines are relatively short and you will get in quickly to enjoy the ride or show. The Standby lines can take over an hour sometimes for the most popular attractions.

You can go in any of the attraction Standby lines at any time. Try to head to the attractions that are more popular early in the day or late in the day when the crowds will be thinner if you are having to use the standby queue. Otherwise, check the wait times on your phone and head to those attractions where the wait times are short for the standby queues.
