I have been reading up on the Disney YES Program and it looks amazing and a fun way to learn. Is it possible for a single child to register for a class, or must one get a group together first.

    Heigh-Ho Juliann!

I love talking about the Disney Youth Education Series! Year-round educational opportunities are offered seven days a week to elementary, middle, junior and senior high school students of all ages from around the world traveling in groups of 10 or more. They are meant to give students –and their teachers– a hands-on, educational adventure in all different areas of learning.

The great news is sometimes periods of Individual Enrollment are offered for groups less than 10, which means one child is more than welcome to join a class. My two oldest children have had the opportunity to participate in YES Program classes and have loved them! They have learned about African Cats, played games at Disney's Animal Kingdom and learned about Marine Life and Turtle Conservation in Epcot. In the past, periods of Individual Enrollment have been in January, the beginning of February, and June through September. Some classes fill up, so be sure to register early and be sure of your travel dates, because park tickets are non-refundable. Oh, and even better news? Not only do your kids get an awesome, guided educational experience in the Most Magical Place on Earth, but class participants can purchase discounted park tickets. So yeah, Mickey Mouse rocks the house.

To find out more information and to browse the different classes available, please visit the Disney Youth Education Series page and use the choices to narrow your results. Summer classes are available right now. So rather than walk around with your nose stuck in a book, try a YES Program with your child and have an adventure in the great wide somewhere.

I hope your family enjoys these classes as much as mine has! If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
