Hi! I was just reading about the Disney Genie + option. I have a little one under 3 and am coming in November. Will there still be a rider swap system if we purchase this upgrade? Thanks.

    Hey Amelia!

A warm welcome to planDisney. Thank you for sending us your wondEARful question about Disney Genie service! Congratulations on your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You will be visiting the theme parks during the 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort. That is so magical, Amelia!

As the mom of two young Mouseketeers myself, I find Rider Switch service invaluable. Amelia, I am happy to report that at the present time, there are no plans to change or retire Rider Switch service at Walt Disney World Resort once Disney Genie service is implemented.

Disney Genie and Rider Switch are two different services and will remain that way. Disney Genie will be accessible via the My Disney Experience mobile app and if you decide to purchase Disney Genie+, you will be able to do so via the mobile app as well.

Amelia, I encourage you to check out the “Fun for Little Ones” planning guide in advance of your magical vacation. Additionally, keep your eyes and EARS peeled on the Disney Parks Blog for Disney Genie updates.

If you have any other questions, please visit planDisney again. We are always hEAR to help you!
