Hi, Connie! Thanks for visiting us with your question.
Walt Disney World and the entire Disney company has always been very generous to the members of our armed forces. One way they continue to show their support is through the
specially priced military theme park tickets and
military discount hotel rates. These offers are for eligible service members and their families, and included in the eligible category are active duty and retired members of the United States military.
Also included in the Armed Forces Salute are 100% service connected, permanently disabled veterans. This is indicated on a veterans military identification card with the code DAVPRM.
Have you heard about Shades of Green? It is a military owned and operated resort, located on Walt Disney World property. The rate you pay is based on your rank in the military, and while the resort is usually for active duty, 100% service connected disabled, and retired members of the military, they have in past years run specials in the months of January and September. Any honorably discharged member of the military, who can provide a DD-214, is eligible to stay at the resort and purchase tickets through the resort ticket office.
I hope this helps some with your planning.
Thank you and your family for the sacrifices you made in service to our country.
Anna
