I am reading the description of the Ardastra Garden excursion in Nassau and it has a 15 minutes walk at the end. My mom can walk, but long walks are not desired. Is it possible to catch a cab back to the ship?

    Hi Kathryn!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question.

The Ardastra Gardens and City Tour sounds like lots of fun - you'll visit some beautiful tropical gardens and get to see some incredible wildlife. One of the best features of this tour is the "Flamingo Experience", a show featuring the funny antics and telling the story of the Bahamas national bird - the Caribbean Flamingo. You'll also get to hand-feed parrots and have some fantastic photo ops with some feathered (and scaly) friends!

If you're concerned about the walk to and from this experience, I encourage you to visit the Port Adventures desk once you board the ship. Let them know your concerns, and they will know what to recommend. You might want to consider a wheelchair to help get her to and from the tour bus, so that you can stay with your assigned tour group. If you think you might want to catch a cab back to the ship after your Ardastra Tour, just let the Port Adventures staff know and they can help you arrange for a pickup.

I hope this helps. Have fun on your cruise, and enjoy your amazing Port Adventure! - Diane W.
