Hello. I've been reading the boards to prepare for our upcoming 3 night cruise to Bahamas (May 27th). We're thinking of arranging an excursion independently. Can you tell me how long a taxi drive is from the port to Atlantis. And approx how much? Thx :)

Hi Rebecca,

Your cruise is right around the corner, so this is the perfect time to work through all these last minute details!

I have explored Atlantis on my own, and found it very easy to do. Taxis are available right at the pier, and you will be greeted by willing drivers right as you exit the ship - but don't be afraid to go ahead and walk down to the main courtyard where there will be an abundance of taxis waiting. In my experience the drivers that approach you on the pier want to assemble a group so you wind up waiting for others unnecessarily.

It is in your best interest to settle on the cab fare prior to accepting a ride. $4-5 per person is reasonable to get you to Atlantis and it takes 10-15 minutes.
