I have read you can see wishes from poly, i was thinking of having dinner at ohana on arrival day and watching wishes afterwards.can you hear the music and get the same feel as if you were in mk. the other option would be epcot on arrival(coral reef)

We have watched Wishes plenty of times from the Polynesian, and in some areas the music can be heard (it is piped in) around the Great Ceremonial House while out at Sunset Point (our favorite view), it can't be heard clearly.

While it isn't the same as being directly in front of the castle, it is still just as magical seeing the bigger view of the fireworks and their reflections on the Seven Seas Lagoon.  We also find that it is magical to be on the beach and feel like the fireworks are there only for us; no big crowds are around us.  In fact, several years ago for New Year's Eve, we did exactly what you are considering:  eating at 'ohanas and then watching the fireworks from the resort.

And as an added bonus, depending the time of Wishes, you may be able to enjoy the Electric Water Parade that runs at 9:00 p.m.

    I think I'd give it a try!
