I just read on another website that at Xmas the parks may close as they are full to capacity. What if I have a credit card reserved ADR? Will I be allowed in or will I be charged for the meal? Is it common that you have a ticket but can't get in the park?

    Tricia,
If you have a credit card reserved Advance Dining Reservation on a day that is likely to fill to capacity, I would be at the park prior to opening time and remain there until your dining time.

It is not common but it can happen. Bret explains park capacity very well at the link that I've provided.
