Hello Farrah,
I'm sure you and your girls are bursting with pixie dust as you await your Walt Disney World vacation. I know I would be if my trip was right around the corner.
I know exactly what you are talking about in waking up Tinker Bell. My daughter did it years ago in the shop formerly known as Tinker Bell's Treasures. It is now known as
Castle Couture and specializes in all things princess. While it has been quite a few years since my daughter did it, I can't promise that it is still possible, but it is definitely worth asking. In the past, the first person to ask the cast member at the cash register was able to wake her up. They were given special instructions by the cast member on how to properly wake the tiny fairy. Then, you could see the pixie dust fly around the room with the sound of bells often heard when Tink is around. So, be sure to ask when you go into the store in the morning. Also, just in case this is no longer an option, I wouldn't let your girls in on it until you know for sure from the cast member. I'd hate for there to be disappointed little ones at the start of the day.
You can
meet Tinker Bell at Town Square Theater. You will be magically shrunk to "fairy size" so that you will be able to see her in person. Your daughters are sure to enjoy this pixie dusted meet and greet. You will also find her flying from the castle to start the nightly Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. So, be sure to have a prime viewing spot in near Cinderella Castle. You don't want to miss that.
I hope all your vacation wishes come true. Feel free to stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more of your planning questions. We love helping guests get the most magic out of the trip.
