I have read that TSA will not allow light sabers on the plane. Have you heard if the same is for droids? As I would not want to pack the droid in my checked luggage. Also, is there a mail option for guests to ship their droid or light sabers home?

    Bright suns, Lorita!

I see it is your destiny to bring home desirable items from the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu to help out the Resistance in your Galaxy. At times it may seem that the TSA is aligned more with the First Order. But it seems they do have a soft spot for lightsabers and droids. Currently, the following statements can be read on the TSA website:

    • Light Saber (sic): Sadly, the technology doesn't currently exist to create a real lightsaber. However, you can pack a toy lightsaber in your carry-on or checked bag. May the force be with you.
    • Toy Robots: For items you wish to carry on, you should check with the airline to ensure that the item will fit in the overhead bin or underneath the seat of the airplane.

To find out conditions and restrictions on your transport home, I recommend contacting your selected airline. For example, some airlines may consider a lightsaber to be a full carryon, while others may allow it to be an additional “personal item.” The lightsaber blades from Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers come in at just over 34 inches long, And my dear friend Samantha has details on dimensions of astromech droid units available from Droid Depot.

And, yes, guests visiting Batuu may ship newly-purchased lightsabers and droids off-planet. Simply take your purchase and your receipt to First Order Cargo for processing. The cost of shipping is dependent on the original cost of the items being shipped and varies depending on domestic versus international shipping.

May the Force be with you, Lorita!
