I've read tips to NOT bring a backpack so you can skip the bag screen line and get into the park faster. Do they screen women's "normal-sized" purses though? Hoping to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm so not pocket packable really.

    Hi Kathleen!
Thanks for your question and for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!!
I like how you think!! The faster we get into the theme parks and water parks, the faster we can have some fun. I NEVER carry any sort of bag when visiting the Disney Theme Parks. I do my best to have anyone with me wear what they need or carry small enough items that they can go in a pocket. I know that this is not feasible for every guest (especially ones with small children), but it typically works for me.
I am sorry, but ANY sized bag must go through Security and the bag screen queue. This is not always efficient but it definitely ensures the safety of all guests, which is paramount.
May I suggest, if convenient, wearing your sunglasses, applying the sunscreen at the resort and putting the lip balm in a pocket?
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical trip!!
    Chris
