Hi Nancie!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your upcoming Disney Cruise will be setting sail before you know it! The first afternoon aboard the ship is always so exciting! No matter how many Disney Cruises my family has set sail on, I still get butterflies from excitement the minute the Cast Members and Crew announce my family's name!
Staterooms are typically ready for Guests around 1:30 p.m. When you complete your Online Check-in, you'll get to select a
designated Port Arrival Time. If you have an earlier Port Arrival Time, you may not have access to your stateroom right away. This is often the case when my family sails with Captain Mickey. We love grabbing lunch at
Cabanas soon after we step onboard. By the time we finish eating lunch and check out the pool area, our stateroom is usually ready for us! Because you might have a short wait before dropping off your carry-on luggage, I always recommend bringing a rolling carry-on bag. Wheeling a carry-on bag while waiting for your stateroom makes it easier to explore the ship!
If this is your first voyage (or first time on a particular Disney Cruise ship), I highly recommend taking the "Walking Ship Tour". This is a wonderful way to learn about all the fun on each deck of the ship. You will receive a Personal Navigator newsletter that lists a schedule of all the day's activities and times at the Cruise Terminal upon checking in for your voyage. Once you're onboard, you'll receive this newsletter from your Stateroom Host/Hostess each evening in your stateroom!
If you have any other questions, Nancie, please visit us again! We love to h"EAR" from you!
