I have read you "moms" suggest to not go to the parks on the days they are doing magic hours.(makes sense to me) But do you suggest the same for low crowd times? (3rd week Jan) Also are the weekends really busy at that time too?? THANKS SO MU

    Melanie,

I am one "mom" that doesn't avoid the Extra Magic Hours.  I do almost all of my traveling during the off season.  We go mostly in the fall and winter avoiding holidays.  I think the crowds remain low even during the extra hours.  On the other hand, the weekends can still be a little crazy.  The highest volume will usually be on Saturdays in the Magic Kingdom.

I think January is a great time to go.  My family is also going the 3rd week of January and I am expecting light crowds and nice weather.  The one problem is the range of possible temperatures.  During our Jan 2007 trip, we went from wearing sweatshirts to tank tops in one week.

    Have a good trip
